The Tippy Award – It is with ultimate pride that as the commissioner of the Syosset Youth Football League, that I have established the Tippy Consistency Award.  Anthony “Tippy” Nocella was my father, and of course the grandfather to my two sons, Thomas and Anthony.  He was a man that always believed that consistency, hard work, honestly and integrity were treasured values.  He was a wonderful man, actively involved with the community and children’s sports programs.  Born and raised in Elmont, he was the proud sponsor of an Elmont Little League Baseball Team, appropriately named, “Tippy’s Rugrats.”

Every year, this league will present the Tippy Consistency Award to those individuals who exhibit the most consistency to this sports program.  It is my pleasure to present this award in his loving memory.
