Saturday Picture Day

Picture Day has been Cancelled!

I know we said it wouldn't happen, but Picture Day is cancelled!!! In addition to the weather, the photographer's wife is in the hospital ( nothing serious, but she can't make Picture day). We are rescheduling for October 5th, on the turf field, before each game.  The 2 teams that have away games will need to come before they head out to the other towns.

We apologize for this inconvenience, and hope that we will finally get these pictures taken next week.

The Syosset Youth Football & Cheerleading League depends on volunteers to help run the league.  If you are willing and able to help run the league, please let us know.  There are many ways that you can get involved.  We need people to help us with the following positions:

Coach – Cheerleading Coaches are needed.  Help teach cheers and cheerleading skills at weekly practices and lead the squad at games.

Team Parent – Assist the head coaches with making phones calls, collecting information, and keeping the team informed of any updates to practice and game schedules.

Merchandise Sales – Assist at the annual field side clothing sale as well as the Syosset Street Fair booth.  Assist in jacket and sweatshirt orders.

Registration – Assist with paperwork completion, clothing sales, and equipment hand outs.

Street Fair Booth – Assist with selling Braves clothing at the Syosset Street Fair.

Chain Handler – Assist with holding chains and down markers at home games.

Team Website Coordinator – Collect photos, videos and written information to be posted on the website.  Updates will need to sent through on a weekly basis, during the game season.

Journal Ad Sales – Assist with selling journal ad space to local businesses

50/50 Sales at weekly games – Assist with selling 50/50 raffle tickets at weekly home games.

Scoreboard Statistician – Assist with keeping score on the scoreboard.

League Sponsor Sales – Assist by selling league sponsorships during the football season.

Team Photographers – Assist by taking photos each week of a team, to be posted on the website.

Newspaper PR Liaison – Assist by writing  articles for local paper during game season.

High School Varsity Cheerleaders will be holding a stunting clinic

The High School Varsity Cheerleaders will be holding a stunting clinic for us and the middle Scholl cheerleaders from 5 to 6:30 on October 6th.  This will be held at the high school.  If your daughter can make it, please let your coaches know so that we can give them an idea of how many girls to expect. This clinic is open to all of our cheerleaders - all ages welcome.
